Qld: Couple dead in apparent murder-suicide - police

A post-mortem examination will be conducted today on the bodies of a couple, found
dead yesterday at their Brisbane home.

Police suspect the man stabbed his partner to death in the bedroom before turning the
knife on himself.

Detective Inspector TIM TREZISE says relatives found the bodies of the 33-year-old
man and a 27-year-old woman in a house at Calvary Street in Boondall just before 2am (AEST)
yesterday.

The couple had fatal stab wounds to the neck.

Inspector TREZISE says all possibilities are being considered but everything indicates
a murder suicide.

He says relatives travelled from Toowoomba, west of Brisbane, to break into the couple's
home after they didn't answer their phone.

The couple, who were childless, did not have a history of domestic violence and weren't
known to police.
