Beenhakker extends coaching contract with Poland to 2009 or 2010 World Cup

Leo Beenhakker signed a contract extension Tuesday to coach Poland until 2009, or to the 2010 World Cup if the team qualifies.

The 65-year-old Dutchman became the first foreigner to coach Poland when he took over in July 2006 after the country's lackluster performance at World Cup in Germany.
