U.S. troops captured two suspected Shiite extremists Tuesday during operations south of Baghdad, the U.S. military said.
The suspects were captured during a raid in the Suwayrah area targeting a man who reportedly helped train militia members for attacks against U.S. and Iraqi forces and who was believed to be an associated of several so-called rogue militia leaders, according to a statement.
